One night, when I couldn't sleep, I started thinking about blocks that could be made starting with 2-1/2" strips. I ended up creating an 18" x 18" block comprised of 6"Â, 4-1/2" Â, 3" Â and 1-1/2" square units. Joining four of these blocks and adding 3 borders gave me a design that could be made using 2-1/2" strips, some background and some border fabric. Be aware that this is an intermediate level pattern due to the many units, bias edges and points to match. This pattern includes instructions for four sizes ranging from 51-1/2" x 51-1/2" up to 105-1/2" x 105-1/2".
